“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,The leopard shall lie down with the young goat,The calf and the young lion and the fatling together;And a little child shall lead them.7 The cow and the bear shall graze;Their young ones shall lie down together;And the lion shall eat straw like the ox.8 The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole,And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den.9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LordAs the waters cover the sea.(Isaiah 11:6-9 NKJV )

What a beautiful analogy of wild beast predators and their prey living together in harmony and a little child leading them ; nursing child playing next to one of the most deadliest snake ,Cobra ! yet the child will not be harmed ;a weaned child putting its hand into another deadly venomous snake and the snake  will not harm the child  …this is a beautiful depiction of how enemies will no longer be enemies but will live together in peace on the mountain of God and it’s so beautiful to see little children  living in absolute safety amidst the beast and deadly snakes .

This is contrary to the world we are in....We have nations warring against nations , conflicts within nations, murder and killings amidst states and the poor being  oppressed. Even as adults  we find it difficult to face these situations : some getting into depression and antisocial behaviour  eventually ending lives. One of satan’s strategy to gain more people into his kingdom. If it is difficult for adults,   imagine little children  who are not matured enough to deal the result of enmity and hatred in and around them  , who become a prey to various mental health problems.

 Children in war zones go through trauma ..physically, mentally and spiritually. Many children who have escaped war go through post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and react very differently to circumstances in their lives. They  cannot smile or laugh , they do not play with other children. They run and hide trying to save themselves even at the sound of normal aircraft flying above their heads ….it is terrible to even hear this , as a  result of PTSD  children end up having depression , psychosis , substance abuse. Wicked enemy satan has  not spared even  the little ones !

 Isaiah 11:6-9 promises a safe and beautiful future for children on the Holy mountain. This portion of scripture continues to  talk about Christ’s reign on earth , the complete and glorious fulfilment of this promise will happen when Christ returns. Nevertheless it can happen even now in our current times:  If there are people who dwell on the Holy Mountain who can help others around them to experience the glimpse of what it is like to dwell on the Mountain of God .When Moses went on top of Mount Sinai to meet with God  people down could experience the glorious presence of God.  If I can be a woman who dwells on the Holy Mountain, children  around me  can experience a glimpse of the promises of the Holy mountain . How beautiful it will be to see promises of Isaiah 11:6-9  come true !

It is God’s heart that we be people should  dwell on the Holy mountain . So we need to journey up this mountain to dwell on it. Psalm 24 talks of how we can ascend to mountain of God .

 3 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?Or who may stand in His holy place?4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,Nor sworn deceitfully.(Psalm 24 : 3,4 NKJV)

Jesus himself says in Matthew 5 : 8 ”Blessed are the pure in heart . For they will see God .Only if  I can be  person of  pure heart , clean hands , who would not lift my soul to any idol.  I can be that somebody who would ascend the Holy Mountain and have an interface with God. The children down the mountain would experience a glimpse of what it is like on the Holy Mountain  and one day they too would ascend on this mountain. How beautiful it would be if this becomes true !!.

It's not enough if we ascend  the Holy mountain , we need to dwell there  meaning “ live there” and Psalm 15 talks of those who will dwell on the Holy hill :

Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle?Who may dwell in Your holy hill?

2 He who walks uprightly,And works righteousness,And speaks the truth in his heart;3 He who does not backbite with his tongue,Nor does evil to his neighbour,Nor does he [b]take up a reproach against his friend;4 In whose eyes a vile person is despised,But he honours those who fear the Lord;He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;5 He who does not put out his money at usury,Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent.

He who does these things shall never be moved.

(Psalm 15: 1-5 NKJV )

If only we can be people who ascend and dwell on the Holy mountain of God,  the children down can  experience a glimpse of the promises of God .The Holy Bible  is “THE ANSWER” to the problems we see around us . Isaiah 11 has promised a safe and beautiful future for  children , May God’s promises for children be fulfilled through us .

May the God’s kingdom come ! May His will, be done !
